Dr. Vanajakumari received his Ph.D in management science from the University of Texas at Dallas. His undergraduate degree is in Industrial Engineering and has master’s degrees in supply chain management and Industrial Management. He joined the faculty of Industrial Distribution program at Texas A&M University in 2008 as an Assistant Professor. His research addresses supply chain scheduling, risk management, humanitarian logistics, international border crossing, and robotic arm scheduling. He has taught courses in supply chain management, operations Management, and statistics. He currently teaches Distributor Operations and Financial Management for undergraduate students. He has worked on projects funded by various private organizations and Economic Development agency.   He is a member of INFORMS, POMS, ASEE, and DSI. He also had a brief stint in automobile industry before joining academia.
