Industrial Distribution Program
Of the 87 students who graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University in December 2000, 45 graduates (51%) received and reported job offers by graduation date (Dec. 9, 2000). Graduates who reported receiving job offers received an average of 2.06 offers. 
The following information regarding compensation was reported: 
  • Range of base salaries offered:  $24,000- $61,000
  • Average base salary offered:  $42,150 
  • Range of signing bonuses offered:  $0- $10,000
  • Average signing bonus: $3,622
76% of the graduates reporting offers accepted positions with manufacturers, manufacturer’s representatives, and distributors in the following areas:

Spring 2000 and Summer 2000 Placement Survey
Industrial Distribution Program
One hundred five students graduated in May ’00 earning Bachelor of Science Degrees in Industrial Distribution.  Another 28 students completed their Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Distribution in August ’00.  Of the 133 students surveyed, 57 (43%) completed career placement surveys from which the following information was derived: 
  • Number of job acceptances:  100% (based on 57 out of 133 students reporting)
  • Average number of offers per graduate:  2.2
  • Average base salary offered:  $37,769
  • Average base salary accepted:  $38,632
  • Base salary range offered:  $18,000- $50,000
  • Base salary range accepted:  $18,000- $49,000 
  • Signing bonus range offered and accepted:  $0- $7,500
