History

Industrial distribution — moving products from manufacturer to end-user, providing local inventory, technical product support, sales and service — is a challenging and ever evolving field. New computer technologies, increased competition and continued growth in industrial markets make today's distribution remarkably different from what it was only a few years ago.
It's an important segment of the economy — distribution of industrial products in the United States is a $4 trillion business — more than 10 percent of the gross national product.
